Key responsibilities: 

• Maintenance and upkeep of the Kotli-based application
• Remediation of architectural drawbacks and security vulnerabilities surfaced through audits and technical reviews
• tracking.
• Improve the reliability, performance, auditability, and observability of the application
• Migrate deprecated APIs to updated platform equivalents as they are sunset — including service-to-service integrations and internal SDK upgrades.
• Maintain compatibility with evolving Workiva platform dependencies, protobuf contracts, and internal framework changes.
• Collaborate closely with SMEs  and Support teams to triage and resolve production or customer-reported issues.


• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Take on feature and project work as team capacity and roadmap demand necessitates.

Must Have:

• Strong proficiency in modern WEB stack based on Java.
• Experience working with MySQL, queue systems such as sqs-queues, and stacks deployed
• within the AWS environment.
• Experience working with AI tooling for software development.
• Solid understanding of service reliability, error handling, and debugging in a distributed system
• that may encounter times of high load.
• Experience in building web applications with React.js and TypeScript 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Ready to work with Kotlin and Dart, no prior experience required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively across teams.
• A proactive mindset: able to propose new ideas, contribute to creative problem-solving, and drive innovative features.
• Proven ability to balance technical expertise with interpersonal skills. Success in this role requires more than coding; it requires strong teamwork, adaptability, and initiative.

• Experience with Python, Dart
• Experience with database schema migrations and versioning in a production context.
